I can almost hear the ladies groaning already! Don’t you just hate those crazy, cheesy, desperate pick up lines that guys insist on torturing us with; both online and offline? I mean seriously guys; do you really think you’re going to impress a girl with lines like these?
- If you were a hamburger at McDonalds, you’d be McGorgeous!
- You must be Jamaican, because Jamaican me crazy!
- You might not be the best looking girl here, but beauty is only a light switch away!
- Guy: "Haven't I seen you someplace before?"

Guys, here’s a tip; pick-up lines usually don’t work when they’re this bad (especially on a mature bbw like myself!). Instead, try starting a simple conversation or maybe even make a joke (a good one!).
The reason women don’t like pick-up lines is because it just shows the guy is shallow. The guy also comes across as trying too hard. If you don’t believe that, maybe scientific research will convince you? The University of Edinburgh tested several different pickup lines on 205 undergraduates and most gagged at the idea of corny pick up lines.
And if you want to keep laughing, listen to “Wanna B Ur Lovr” by Weird Al Yankovic. It’s not a great song but the lyrics are made up of pick up lines like “I don’t have a library card/But do you mind if I check you out?” and “Do you believe in love at first sight/Or should I walk by again?” Happy Listening!

Sure pick-up lines are cheesy and corny but this list made me laugh! I think its all in the delivery - if you deliver the line as a joke its more acceptable than if its serious!
