There are at least a few thousand articles out there telling guys what a woman really wants and what turns her off. But there just isn’t enough telling us ladies what we’re doing wrong and how we’re turning the men off. So you don’t have to wonder anymore, here are the Top 10 things about women that turn men off.
- Bad Hygiene
Men might be the messier of the two sexes but when it comes to the personal hygiene of the woman they’re dating, they rank it pretty high. So ladies, if you’re smelly and dirty, go wash up. Now you know what’s keeping the men away.
- Poor Communication
Funny this should be here considering women are always complaining guys don’t communicate enough. But it is, and the men say they hate it when a woman doesn’t say what she means or when she goes along with something but later gives him grief for it. This turns men off and all they want is for the women to tell them exactly what they want and how they feel to avoid further complication. Okay, point noted.
- Trying To Change Him
Women aren’t perfect either but most men don’t attempt to change their women. So they hate it when a woman is constantly trying to change him and nags him about changing. He wants a girlfriend, not Mum Part II. If he’s so wrong, go on and find the Mr. Right you won’t have to work so hard to change.
- Playing Unfair
So it may be chivalrous for a guy to pay on a date, especially when he asks a woman out. But if a couple are seeing each other for a while and a girl never offers to pay, always expects him to go over to her part of town, never wants to drive etc, a guy sees that as unfair. Apparently, just making the offer goes a long way too. Also, later in a relationship, if a woman is constantly pointing the finger in an argument and never accepts blame, it’s a big flashing red signal for the guy.
- The Cold Fish
Guys hate unresponsive women. You may be a serious girl, but if he cracks a joke, he expects a smile. If he’s talking about an issue, he expects intelligent participation. And the surest way to turn a guy off in seconds? Being unresponsive in bed as well.
- High Maintenance Ladies
He appreciates that you take care of yourself and make an effort with your appearance. But when your appearance becomes an obsession and you can’t even go to the grocery store without a 1 hour preening session, the guy is only going to be patient for so long.
- Letting Yourself Go
Might sound contradictory, but as much as high maintenance women turn a guy off, a woman who lets herself go also turns a man off. This is usually the case when women start getting comfortable with a man. Sure you look cute in his football jersey, but getting pretty every once in a while keeps him interested.
- Hating His Friends
A guy’s friends are his family and although you might not like them all, it doesn’t make sense to go on about how much you dislike them and why he shouldn’t hang out with them. Again, remember, you’re not his mum. If you don’t like something in particular, say the crude remarks a friend makes, let him know. Otherwise, just let it be. Guys don’t like their friends being criticized and if a woman keeps doing it, they’d probably choose the friends over you.
- Space Invader
A man’s personal space is very important to him and when you start invading it, he hates it. If you must leave things at his place, don’t take it for granted he’ll be okay with it. Instead, ask him if it’s okay and he probably will be. Also, don’t go through his stuff, check his emails or interrogate him about every text or phone call. He will protect his space because that’s his territory and giving it up means commitment which he might not be ready for. So don’t turn him off…just respect his need for his own space.
- Join The Boys Club
Men have admitted they have double standards. While it is okay for them to belch, burp and holler obscenities, they are shocked when their girlfriend starts doing the same. They do not like associating traditionally male behavior with their dates or girlfriends. Men are turned on by a woman’s femininity and turned off by women who become one of the boys. Hypocritical, but true.
It’s nice to get inside a man’s mind once in a while and see what they expect of us. The don’t expect half as much as we do? Or, a little too much for the average woman to live up to? Men and women…I’d like to hear from both of you.

women are very fickle i agree but sometimes us women don,t like to hurt the guys feelings by telling them what has really upset them it has to evolve into a big argument before the truth comes out
Couple more, 1)women who play the 'I love you' game right up to the hilt, and then suddenly drop away...no good bye even. 2)women who lie...they simply not telling the truth and never were. 3)woman who ask for euro dollars. 4)woman who won't answer the questions but insist on things totally irrelivant. 5)women who mistakenly call us the name of the other guy, oh der...no I'm not Antonio. 6)Woman who take about things we have no idea or involvement in what they're talking about. 7)women who in the end, after all the honesty and promises, reject our love, we're actually being genuine to you and you just don't want it?
sorry but being a lady is just nice but then who wants a man who is belching breaking wind and swearing not me so no double standards
