Happiness Comes Dressed in Size 14

I read an interesting article today and thought I’d share it with you.

3000 women were polled in the survey carried out by Special K and apparently a new survey has found that women who wear a Size 14 are the happiest. 43 per cent of Size 14 women said they were happy with their lives, work and even love. Others in the “most happy” category were Size 12, almost 75 per cent of whom said they were very happy with their friendships. They were followed by Size 8, Size 16 and Size 10.

On the other end of the spectrum, the least happy women were the ones who wore a Size 24 with 18 per cent of them admitting they were very unhappy with their lives. Size 22 and 20 are also on this list. But, this list isn’t just about plus size women unhappy with their dress size, Size 6 ladies also feature on this list of unhappy women.

So while some of the curvy ladies are among the happiest women in the world, other plus size ladies are among the unhappiest. And so you would think being really skinny would be the answer to it. But not really, because you have Size 6’s being very unhappy too. It’s an interesting mix and worth thinking about.

Does our dress size really come in the way of happiness? Is that really true or have we just imagined that until we reach Size X we aren’t going to be happy, and so have convinced ourselves that we’re miserable?

I can honestly say that I was always able to find something wrong with my body - whether I was a size 12 or size 18. For me, happiness and contentment is an inside job.
